Below is a small list of suggestions on ways in which businesses can support the UPB. We believe that both your organization and our organization can benefit through co-sponsorship, and we can provide you a large amount of exposure through your donations and support. Leadership Hoodies
To recognize the hard work of the 23 leaders of the University Program Board, we are looking for a sponsor to donate 23 zip-up hoodies. These hoodies will also allow general ISU students to recognize UPB members if they have questions about upcoming events. Sponsors may donate $725 to cover the cost of the hoodies, or they may donate the hoodies themselves. Either way, both the UPB and the sponsor may approve the design before it is printed and the sponsor may include their name and logo.
T-shirt Giveaways
The UPB is well known across campus for our great giveaways. For all college students a free t-shirt is something that is highly sought after. Giving away t shirts at our events would help raise attendance and would encourage consistent attendance as well. These shirts would be given out in different increments depending on the attendance at the event. The shirt design would be approved by the UPB and the sponsor to ensure that it represents each group appropriately. We are looking for about 500 t-shirts to be donated as giveaways that the sponsor could donate themselves or donate $2000 to cover the cost of the T-shirts. This is something that the UPB is hoping to become a tradition.
Flatbed Cart
Since the UPB hosts over 100 programs annually, the locations of our events vary across campus. We often need help transporting supplies to these several locations. Having a flatbed cart would relieve this concern. Sponsors may donate $100 to cover the cost of the flatbed from Hand Trucks R Us or a flatbed cart could be donated to the UPB. The sponsor and the UPB would be able to discuss how the sponsor would want to be recognized for this donation.
Flash Drives
Programming is something that takes a lot of time and energy, but what it also takes is space! UPB chairpersons and executive board are constantly working on documents that take valuable memory space on our personal computers. While being working college students as well, this can be detrimental to our personal computers. We are looking for a sponsor to donate 23 flash drives that would allow all of our General Board to bring their UPB documents around with them. The flash drives would be passed along to the next person in the position when we change leadership at the end of our term. These flash drives would help immensely in our attempt to be as productive as possible! We are looking for a sponsor to donate $170 to put towards the cost of 23 flash drives or the sponsor may donate the flash drives themselves. If the sponsor desired, the flash drives could be imprinted with their logo on the flash drive or on the lanyard that comes with the flash drive. Other ways to include the sponsor’s name and logo could be discussed as well.
Video Camera
With all the great events that the UPB hosts, we are looking for a better way than just pictures to capture our events. By having a video camera, we would be able to capture event moments and share them with potential members through our website and at our recruitment meetings. The sponsor could donate $300 or the camcorder itself. Anytime the videos would be used, the sponsor would be recognized. The sponsor and UPB would be able to discuss in what other ways the sponsor could be recognized.
Membership T-Shirts
The UPB would like to be able to recognize all of the UPB members for their hard work and dedication. We would like to have at least 150 t-shirts for all of our members including General Board, Advisors and Committee Members to be able to be recognized around campus as well as promote the UPB. The sponsor could donate the shirts themselves or donate $600 to cover the cost of the t-shirts.
Laptop
The UPB would like to have a laptop computer for use in our office. With our growing membership, there are often a large amount of students in the office and it is hard to find a computer to work on. With this laptop, it would relieve the stress of removing other people from the computers. The laptop would also allow us to bring it to programs to have new potential members sign up on our email list as well as view our website. Often times our programs require the use of technology for our performers. There must be a source, such as a laptop for this information to connect to our tech systems in our student center. This would be able to provide the performer to have something to work with as well as allow the UPB to work with our Tech Services even better when putting on events. The sponsor could donate the laptop or donate $1000 to cover the cost of the laptop. The UPB and the sponsor could discuss in what ways the sponsor could be recognized for this donation.
